Politique de confidentialité

Ce que nous collectons, pourquoi, et les choix qui s'offrent à vous. Nous en collectons le strict minimum et ne vendons jamais vos données.

Dernière mise à jour: July 13, 2026

1. Introduction

Your privacy matters to us, and we've written this Privacy Policy to explain — clearly and honestly — what information Forkie collects, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. Forkie is operated by Innolope LLC ("Innolope," "we," "us," or "our"), and this policy applies to our website at 4kie.com and the features we offer through it (the "Service").

Our approach is simple: we try to collect only what we need to make Forkie useful, we're careful with it, and we never sell it. If anything here is unclear or you'd like to exercise a privacy right, please reach out at [email protected] — a real person will help.

2. Who is responsible for your data

Innolope LLC is the controller responsible for your personal data when you use Forkie. You can reach us about anything in this policy by email at [email protected] or by post at Innolope LLC, Ste A, 8 The Green, Dover, DE 19901, United States.

3. Information we collect

We collect information in a few different ways as you use Forkie:

  • Account information — When you create an account or sign in, we receive the details tied to your chosen sign-in method, such as your email address and, for Google or Apple sign-in, the basic profile information those services share (like your name and email). You can also start with an anonymous session and upgrade it into a full account later.
  • Content you create in Forkie — The things you save and build as you cook: favorite recipes, notes, fridge and pantry items, shopping lists, meal plans, and similar activity.
  • Preferences and settings — The choices you make to personalize Forkie, such as your preferred cuisines, dietary preferences, language, and other settings.
  • Subscription and billing status — If you subscribe to Forkie Premium, our billing partners handle your payment and tell us your subscription status (for example, whether you have an active or trial entitlement). We don't receive or store your full card number.
  • Usage and device information — Like most online services, we automatically collect some technical information when you use Forkie, such as your device and browser type, general location inferred from your IP address, pages viewed, and how you interact with the Service. This helps us understand what's working and fix what isn't.
  • Messages you send us — When you contact support or fill in our contact form, we receive your name, email, and the contents of your message so we can help you.

4. How we use your information

We use the information above to run Forkie and make it better for you. That means providing the core features — saving your recipes, syncing your lists and plans, and remembering your preferences; personalizing recommendations to your tastes and dietary needs; and operating your account and, if you have one, your subscription.

We also use information to keep Forkie secure and working properly — detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and technical problems — and to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it, develop new features, and fix bugs. We use your contact details to respond to your messages and, where appropriate, to send you important service-related communications. And we use information where we need to in order to comply with the law or protect the rights, safety, and property of our users, the public, or us. We rely on the legal bases of performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving Forkie, your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Forkie uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, keep the Service secure, and measure how it's used. Some of these are essential to make the site work; others, like analytics, help us understand and improve the experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though turning off essential cookies may stop parts of Forkie from working as intended.

6. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own advertising. We do share information in a limited set of circumstances that are necessary to run Forkie:

  • Service providers — We work with carefully chosen companies that process data on our behalf to provide the Service (see the list in Section 7). They may only use your information to perform services for us, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Payment and subscription partners — When you subscribe, our billing provider and payment processor handle the transaction and share your subscription status with us.
  • Legal and safety reasons — We may disclose information if we're legally required to, or where we believe in good faith it's necessary to comply with the law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of our users, the public, or us.
  • Business transfers — If Forkie is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we'll make sure it stays protected and let you know if the change affects you.
  • Aggregated or anonymized data — We may share information that has been aggregated or anonymized so that it no longer identifies you, for purposes like analytics and reporting.

7. The providers we work with

To offer Forkie, we rely on a small number of well-established providers that process some data on our behalf. Each has its own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review them.

  • Google Firebase — authentication and account infrastructure (email, magic-link, Google, and Apple sign-in) and secure data storage.
  • RevenueCat and our payment processor — subscription management and payment processing for Forkie Premium.
  • Google Analytics — understanding how the Service is used so we can improve it.
  • Sentry — monitoring errors and diagnosing technical problems so we can fix them.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — protecting our contact form from spam and abuse.
  • Resend — delivering the email generated when you contact us through the Support form.

8. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. In practice, that means we keep your account information and the content you create in Forkie for as long as your account is active, so your recipes, lists, and preferences are there when you come back.

When you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep certain records longer — for example, to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements. Backup copies are removed on our normal backup rotation. Information that has been fully anonymized may be kept and used indefinitely, since it no longer identifies you.

9. How we protect your information

We take the security of your information seriously and use technical and organizational measures designed to protect it — including encryption of data in transit, access controls that limit who can reach personal data, reputable infrastructure providers, and monitoring for problems. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work continuously to reduce risk, and if a data breach ever affects you, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

You have a part to play too: please use a secure sign-in method, keep it private, and let us know at [email protected] if you ever suspect a problem with your account.

10. International data transfers

Innolope is based in the United States, and the providers we work with may process data in the United States and other countries. This means your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different data-protection laws than your own. When we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses — so that your information stays protected. You can contact us at [email protected] for more information about these safeguards.

11. Your privacy rights

You have rights over your personal data, and we want to make them easy to use. Depending on where you live, these may include the right to access the information we hold about you; to correct information that's inaccurate; to delete your data; to restrict or object to certain processing; to receive your data in a portable format; and to withdraw consent you've previously given, without affecting processing that already happened.

To exercise any of these rights, just email us at [email protected]. We'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, and we won't charge you or treat you differently for making a request. We may need to verify your identity first, simply to make sure we're not giving your data to someone else. If you believe we've mishandled your information, we'd appreciate the chance to fix it — but you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

12. Regional privacy rights

If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the GDPR and related laws give you the rights described above, and we process your data on the legal bases set out in Section 4. You may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority at any time.

If you're a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request access to and deletion of it, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights. To exercise any of these, contact us at [email protected].

13. Children's privacy

Forkie isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] and we'll delete it promptly. Where local law sets a higher age of digital consent, we honor that age instead.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Forkie evolves or as laws change. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll provide more prominent notice where we reasonably can. We encourage you to check back now and then so you always know how your information is handled.

15. Contact us

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests about your privacy, we're here to help. Email us at [email protected], use the contact form on our Support page, or write to us at Innolope LLC, Ste A, 8 The Green, Dover, DE 19901, United States. Thanks for trusting Forkie with your cooking.
